Foreign ministry of Taliban welcomed the recent remarks of Russia’s president, Viladimir Putin, about freedom of speech and announcing that insulting prophet Muhammad is not freedom of artistic freedom.
On the other hand, Pakistan’s foreign minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi in a tweet regarding this issue said: “Appreciate and welcome President Putin’s statement. Insulting our Holy Prophet PBUH is indeed a violation of religious freedom and is a far cry from the freedom of expression.”
Earlier Putin said that insulting prophet Muhammad is not artistic freedom, and counted as the “violation of religious freedom and the violation of sacred feelings of people who profess Islam.”
