People Are More Interested in Getting Covid-19 Vaccine: Officials in Parwan
Kabul – Authorities at Covid-19 Hospital in Parwan say people are increasingly interested in applying the corona vaccine in the province.
“Since the first day of the corona vaccine in the country, more than 27,000 residents of the province have received the corona vaccine,” said Abdul Hamid Alemi Jakfar, director of the Covid-19 Hospital in Parwan to Hasht-e Subh today Wednesday, December 22.
The health official claims that the implementation of the corona vaccine in Parwan province with the exception of Kabul has been higher than in other provinces, saying that about 15 percent of people over the age of 18 had been vaccinated in different parts of the province.
According to official statistics, 3,023 people have been infected with the coronavirus in this province since the outbreak of the first wave of Covid-19 which 83 died from the virus and the rest recovered.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) has warned of an outbreak of the coronavirus “Omicron”, saying it is more contagious than previously known strains.
