147 Criminals Arrested in Herat Province
Kabul – Taliban security officials in Herat province say they have arrested 147 offenders in the past month on charges of crime, theft, alcohol production, murder, and kidnapping.
“Most of them were involved in armed robberies and the production and sale of alcohol,” said Mahmood Shah Rasouli, the press officer of the Herat Police Command to Hasht-e Subh today, Wednesday, December 22.
The Taliban’s Police Command in Herat has reported the arrest of criminals while three students from a private school in Herat were abducted in the past two days.
However, the families of the abducted students have not yet spoken to the media.
In the meantime, the Taliban intelligence officials declined to give further details, confirming three kidnappings.
Earlier, Herat has witnessed abductions and an increase in criminal offenses.
On the other hand, Herat citizens call on Taliban security officials to stop kidnappings and thefts.
