Kabul – The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Finance Ministry says it will pay two months’ salary to government employees in the near future.
The National Radio and Television of Afghanistan (RTA) wrote today Wednesday, December 15, quoting Ahmad Wali Haqmal, spokesman for the Ministry of Finance, that these salaries will be paid from the government’s own budget.
The Taliban are trying to pay the salaries of all government employees for two months, he stressed.
Earlier, the Taliban had announced the payment of government employees’ salaries at once. This, however, has not yet been done.
Meanwhile, the government employees have not been paid for more than three months. They complain that they are currently unable to provide for themselves due to lack of money.
